We are honored to present a new LM3X projection mapping case study from the Basilica of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic.
For this unique sacred interior, the compact LM3X LAZR 4G™ projection mapping system was used to illuminate the basilica altar with precise, soft, and atmospheric visuals.
The goal of this installation was not to overpower the historical architecture, but to enhance its natural depth, shape, and spiritual atmosphere through carefully controlled light and projection mapping.
The LAZR 4G™ is a 6,000 Lumen projection mapping projector designed for architectural illumination, video mapping, event visuals, and permanent or temporary projection installations. Thanks to the integrated Lumiverse™ media server and remote-control options, the system is ideal for projects where compact size, reliability, and flexible operation are essential.
Inside the basilica, the projection created a focused visual layer on the altar area, highlighting architectural details while respecting the character of the sacred space. This case study shows how projection mapping can be used not only for large outdoor facades, but also for intimate and historically sensitive interiors such as churches, museums, cultural venues, and heritage buildings.
The result was a subtle yet powerful visual experience — a combination of technology, architecture, and atmosphere inside one of the most remarkable pilgrimage churches in the region.
